For Your Consideration

One day=twenty-four hours, or, the time between the going down and coming up of the sun. For the sake of consistency we call this twenty-four hours so that our clocks and watches can be synchronized. Notice that synchronized has chron in the spelling. As in, chronometer.

So, the bible says that God created the Earth and our universe in six days. Until He created it, there was no sun, no moon, no Earth. In fact, as He created all from Heaven there was no universe until He created it. What does this tell us? That the bible is wrong about a six day creation of all we know? Or, a better question and more to the point: What is one day for God? His days are not measured are they? If He had a day measured for Him He would also have an end point.

One needs to be cautious when taking sciences mathematics as universal. It is easy to say that the six days of creation were impossible or that Earth’s geologic time puts the bible’s stories in jeopardy. We don’t know where Heaven is or what Heaven is other than the home of God and His Angels and Jesus. You won’t find God in our universe will you? All we see here are the results of His perfect work.

Who in Blue Blazes do we think we are saddling God with out minds? Our clocks and watches and calendars, our sciences postulates and theorems. We are so very small and for that we should know our place. Our human minds are frail and subject to emotions and dreams. We are subject to the cold of Winter and the heat of Summer. We are captured by gravity and we fall to disease. Who do we think we are?
